With a strong background in both research and practice, David O’Regan completed his Masters in Physiotherapy from Trinity College Dublin, while working with the Leinster Rugby team for two years.
He went on to work as Lead Physiotherapist with the Eastern Region of the Irish Defence Forces.
David has excelled in research and was awarded the ‘Trinity Foundation Scholarship’ in 2013. He received a bursary from Arthritis Ireland for conducting qualitative research on children with juvenile arthritis.
His qualitative study to explore the self-management needs and coping skills of families with children who have juvenile rheumatology conditions was Published in August 2017, in the European Journal of Physiotherapy.
David has completed further training as a Pilates Instructor, and enjoys using his clinical skills and his background in sport to optimise results for his patients.
He believes in engaging in continuous professional development and enjoys an active lifestyle including GAA, soccer and triathlons.
David is also a guest lecturer in the Royal College of Surgeons Ireland, for the final year Physiotherapy students
